First time coming here & it definitely won't be my last time! I had gotten cash out but was short about $3 so I let them know I'd find the closest ATM to get more cash out right away. I really felt so bad & wanted to pay the full amount right away but the whole team insisted that I don't need to do that & to just get them next time! I honestly wasn't expecting that response and it was just so nice of them! The food also was amazing and the coke float is so good! We had the mushroom burger, double hickory burger, chili cheese fries & regular fries! Everything was so good! I will definitely be back soon. Just really wanted to thank the whole Munch Box team for their small act of kindness towards me, it made my day. I truly appreciate how nice they were & we need more people in the world like them!

First, I can not say enough about the service here. We were filming for a new YouTube show about classic LA eats and really thought they would be annoyed by us, but instead we found a warm welcome and absolute kindness as they let us film everywhere! Tristian took our order and gave great suggestions like the Hickory Burger and the Western Dog along with Chili cheese fries. MUST LIKE CHILI! They make their own here and it's very good with a little bit of spice. They don't overwhelm the items with chili, so the ratio is spot on. We really appreciate these guys for being so accommodating and it's a great spot for a quick burger and fries along with an awesome Root Beer Float!

The best chill burger I've had .hands down Route beer floats to die for. Service always friendly with the smile.

If you are ever in Chatsworth or near there and love great junk food, The Munch Box is the place to go. Parking is usually not a problem. This place has been there forever it seems, I think sometime in the mid 50s it went up. It has chili dogs, burgers, fries. They thought of closing it once and that did not go over well with the neighborhood. This roadside burger stand has been owned and operated by the same family, kept the same Googie architecture, and nearly the same menu, with a variety of burgers, hot dogs, and fries since it opened. The prices have gone up, but other than that it is the same. When development threatened to close the restaurant in the early 2000's, the community wrote 1,700 letters and petitions to the city council, urging that the burger stand be placed on the list of Cultural-Historical landmarks. They won and it is now a protected landmark. The food is the best. We love their chili dogs with raw onion. Their burgers with chili are great. I don't care for American Cheese, not really cheese now is it, and that is all they have, but my grandson loves it. They still sell root beer and even though it is the same you can get at a grocery, it seems better there. It is go to the counter, order, wait a minute and either eat there, outdoors, or in your car or take home. We always stay and on cold days we eat in the car. The place is just so adorable. Not pretty, just so cute and the oldness makes it cuter. It is kept super clean. The service is ever so great. They are fast and friendly. Try it.

Wow! I took the drive from SCV to this place.... Do yourself a favor and get down there and get your hickory burger and don't forget the fries! Tell your family and friends and coworkers... they MUST take the drive.... Cash only... get the chili fries

I wasn't a big fan of the chili cheese fries, I'm not a big fan of chili but the cheeseburger was delicious. Photos online don't do this place justice. On top of that when I was there, I don't know if he's the owner but one of the cooks offered to pay for someone's food who was in need and that just shows how great of a place this is

I always passed by here and finally tried it. If you love chili, this is the place to be. All their burgers and hot dogs come with chili so if you don't like chili, make sure to ask them to take it out. The menu is simple, burgers, hot dogs and fries. Make sure to bring cash as this place is cash only. And don't forget to pack the chili peppers that are on the side of the pick up window.

I've got to give The Munch Box a 5 star because it's really everything you'd hope for at a burger joint. You definitely get your money's worth, the food - while greasy - is very good, and space is what you'd want in a hole in the wall type of spot. I also have to point out that they have great service and are very chill. Overall a great stop to stop by if you're in Chatsworth.

Food is great and so is service. Burger come with chili but can be replaced with thousand island. Make sure you ask for burger with either because we ordered one with chili and another one we ordered without saying anything and it came very plain with just bread and meat. It didn't even come with lettuce. The burger, mushroom burger, fries and hot dog were all delicious.

One of the few hole in the wall spots left in Chatsworth. Wherein their chili cheese fries still taste the same even decades later. Because the business behind it are a bit more established now, parking seems to always be available in the lot. I think there's a restroom, but never had to ask. Their menu has slightly increased throughout the years. But the main item that's from my childhood is their chili cheese fries. One of the best in the valley. Burger was okay. Next time I'll try out their dogs. I forgot that their dogs were better than their burgers. It's been so long since I've eaten there. Brought back a lot of memories.
